Pain Physician to Pay $1.5 Million to Settle FCA Liability for Corrupt and Unnecessary Fentanyl Prescriptions

Department of Justice – Pain management physician Edward Lubin of Florida has agreed to pay $1.5 million for allegedly billing the federal government for medically unnecessary fentanyl prescriptions written in exchange for kickbacks.
