Medical Practice Pays $130,000 to Resolve Taking “Upfront Discounts” as Kickbacks

Southeast Florida Hematology and Oncology Group has agreed to pay $130,000 – half to the state of Florida, half to the federal government – to resolve allegations that it accepted kickbacks in the form of “upfront discounts” from its specialty pharmaceutical distributor Cardinal Health.
