Healthcare CEO Sentenced to 15 Years for Putting Non-Terminal Patients in Hospice

Henry McInnis – CEO of the Merida Group, a Texas-based hospice and home care provider – has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for falsely telling thousands of patients with long-term incurable diseases they had less than six months to live, to qualify them for enrollment in more expensive hospice programs.
