Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth posted a video to X on January 16 in which he announced that DoD will be "taking a sledgehammer to the oldest DEI program in the federal government—the 8(a) program." He notes that the 8(a) program has morphed into a buzzword for DEI and race-based contracts.
