Microsoft Seeks to Expand Foreign Threat Research Service Through Miburo Acquisition

Microsoft has agreed to buy cyber threat analysis and research company Miburo for an undisclosed sum as the technology giant aims to help public and private sector organizations respond to foreign information operations. Tom Burt, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s customer security and trust organization, says the deal will bring in new analysts who can augment threat intelligence and context analysis efforts at Microsoft.
