Iranian Hackers Used Known Exploit to Compromise Federal Agency’s Network
The network of a “federal civilian executive branch organization”—unnamed by the FBI and CISA—was compromised in February 2022 or earlier by Iran-sponsored hackers, exploiting a Log4Shell vulnerability that CISA directed agencies to patch by the end of December 2021.
