DoD Implementation Guidance on Ensuring Commercial, Cost-Effective Solutions in Federal Contracts
On April 15, 2025, the President issued an executive order requiring agencies to “procure commercially available products and services, including those that can be modified to fill agencies’ needs, to the maximum extent practicable." The Department of Defense (DoD) has now issued guidance on implementing this executive order.
